Principle Investigator: Cheng Han received his bachelor degree from Tianjin University (TJU) in 2019, his master degree from the Pennsylvania State University (PSU) in 2021, and his Ph.D. degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). He is a tenure-track assistant professor in the School of Science and Engineering at the University of Missouri -- Kansas City (UMKC). His research interests include computer vision, deep learning, and adaptable and sustainable intelligence.
Ph.D. Student: Yiyang Liu is a Ph.D. student at School of Science and Engineering, University of Missouri - Kansas City (UMKC), under the guidance of Dr. Cheng Han. He received his M.S. degree from Rochester Institute of Technology (Rochester, NY, USA) in 2024 and B.E. degree from Northwest University (Xi’an, Shaanxi, China) in 2022. His research primarily revolves around MLLM/LLM efficiency. He is devoted to enhancing the effectiveness, efficiency, and interpretability of large generative models.
Ph.D. Student: Changyu Liu is a Ph.D. student in computer science, with research interests in vision-language-action (VLA) models and diffusion models. His recent work focuses on improving the generalization capabilities of VLA models, enabling intelligent systems to adapt to novel tasks and environments.
